History:
The Ferrari 250 GT 2+2 often called GTE, was presented in Paris and London in 1960. It was powered by a V12 Colombo engine providing 240 HP at 6000 rpm giving the car a very good propulsion.
The ventilation slots at the front fenders are an unmistakeable sign of the Ferrari 250 GTE. These slots were built into the body or lowered into a fender cover. A chassis with long wheel base was used to provide more space for the rear passengers. Even for taller persons leg room was no longer a problem. The classical radiator grid remained. Production of the Ferrari 250 GTE was started in 1960 and ended in 1963 with 955 cars built during this time.
The Ferrari 250 GTE is a very successful vehicle in every respect. Ferrari tried to prove that they were able to build a four-seater able to compete with the top class cars in appearance as well as in performance.
