For fifteen years the engineers and craftsmen of Porsche have given their 356 model numerous innovations. For example the capacity of the motors increased and also the forms developed further up to the T-2, T-5 and finally to the T-6 Design.1965 was the final year, in which the Porsche 356 C regularly rolled from the assemby line, although already in the beginning of the year 1964 only a small number of items of the 356 were produced, The production of the 911er series was approaching. In the same year Porsche took over the body plant Reutter and built from then on its own bodies. As an outstanding model the Porsche 356 celebrated its debut in September 1963 with an easily changed T-6 body and larger, more deeply situated rear seats. The advancement of the chassis led to softer rear torsion bar springs and a little more rigid front torsion bar system. Also the disc brakes belonged from now on to the standard. Because of the extent of the new brakes Porsche developed for the 356 C new steel wheels and made the wheel hub flatter. Thus the 356-C models were easily recognizable. Porsche's time-told 4-cylinder flat four motor with a capacity of approx. 1,600 ccm was built in standardly in the C model. This drive unit became known as the 1,600 C motor. The popularity of all types of this Porsche 356 is so large that the demand is simply larger at present than the offer.
A good Investment with large fun factor as alternative for a slightly difficult stock exchange situation.
