MG had produced its vintage model, the MG T, into the 50's.The MG`s had increasingly trouble to maintain ground in motorraces, which was essential for sales impacts in England. Thus one decided to build a completely new car, the MG A.After various prototypes three MG A similar to the series started at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1954.It was, however, less the racing sport achievement, which inspired the publicas rather the sportily slim line of the new mg A roadster. The management of mg gave the starting signal and the series production of the mg A started.Until May 1959 one had achieved the never before thought possible sales record of 58.750 copies.Likewise in 1959 the MG A was reworked and received a new rear axle. The old rigid axle had thereby gone into retirement. Moreover the MG A received new tail lights. Also a new motor replaced the previous 1,500 ccm / 68 HP motor. Now appropriate 80 HP from 1.600 ccm were available. This increased the driving fun considerably. With the MG A offered here by us is the particularly interesting MG A 1600 implementation. The vehicle was completely restored in Germany. The specialty of this MG A is the quality of the restoration.Usually only substantially more expensive classics are restored so complexly.Denn whether you operate one hour on a MG or an hour on a a Ferrari,it is an expensive hour and very many of them are necessary,in order to get such outstanding Restoration results.Only by love for the detail could such a good restoration be achieved. The body consists up to the doors and hoods of steel. The hood, the doors and the trunk lid are however manufactured from aluminium.
