Vintage Automobiles of Lasting Value…
The demand for vintage and classic cars has again increased significantly starting January 2010.
Prices have stabilized and show a positive trend. Can crisis be seen as a test?
Specifically vehicles which have been produced in small numbers continue to be most desirable. The supply of such rare cars needing reconstruction or restoration is drying up, which means that restorers are working on cars which are in better condition to begin with and therefore more expensive, increasing sales prices.
The result of this year’s Phoenix AR auctions was more than satisfactory, with a high percentage of cars being sold, showing continued strength in the market.
We foresee a very positive year for sales of select vintage automobiles. Not only are such cars a safe investment and a good alternative to other tangible property, they also bring emotional enrichment for their owners, such as a Sunday drive on your favorite stretch of road or participation at a classic car meet. Thus, retaining or increasing value of the investment can be seen as a pleasant side-effect.
